Since August 2020, leading wholesalers such as Caterforce Ltd, Time Wholesale, Kent Frozen Foods, Turner Price and Greene King amongst others have taken the opportunity to access supplier validated product content from Nielsen Brandbank’s central platform on a complementary 12 month license.
As the requirements of the wholesale and foodservice industry continues to change at an accelerated rate due to COVID-19, it has never been more important to address the quality and availability of product content online.
Wholesalers and foodservice businesses that are yet to work with Nielsen Brandbank have the opportunity to access over 500,000 products. This will allow UK wholesale and foodservice businesses to utilise EU1169 compliant product content*; meaning Wholesalers will no longer have to rely on a multitude of data sources, nor will they have to use precious time and resources in aggregating their own imagery and data for their products.
*subject to signing a short form licence
Oliver Best, National Wholesale Account Manager at Nielsen Brandbank commented:
“With the changes we have seen happening within the industry and the accelerated importance of B2B and B2B2C e-commerce driven by COVID-19, we believe that access to high quality, supplier validated product content is key for the industry to come through this difficult period and continue to trade successfully in 2021 and beyond. By providing 12 months complimentary access to all wholesale and foodservice businesses that do not currently contract with Nielsen Brandbank, we believe that this will give everyone the opportunity to grow or create their e-commerce platform and establish their businesses in the wholesale e-commerce channel. By engaging directly with wholesale and foodservice clients, we can ensure they fully benefit from the complete suite of services we provide to over 260+ retailers/wholesalers and 7000+ manufacturers, globally. Since the launch of our initiative to support the industry, we are delighted that so many have recognised the value of the supplier validated content we hold and have joined our expanding group of wholesale clients using our content in the UK for their ecommerce and data requirements.”
