NISA International Case Study

Background:

NISA International, the export arm of NISA Today’s, is Europe’s largest independent buying group for retail and wholesale companies and prides itself on being Britain’s leading grocery export wholesaler. NISA International is famed for predominantly serving the expatriate market and supplies British grocery products to local retailers abroad.

Brief:

In establishing a process to enable retailers to order directly over the internet, NISA International required each product to have an image and key ingredient information displayed on the website. The capture of ingredient information also allowed NISA International to offer a local language labelling translation service, as required by law, for foreign products sold in particular countries. NISA International approached Brandbank to provide images and product information for their grocery products.

Execution:

As well as creating and providing images and data for the products relevant to NISA International, the identification process also highlighted ‘gaps’ of ‘non ranged’ products. Brandbank provided NISA International with access to its library of more than 60,000 grocery product shots, enabling them to showcase a comprehensive list of products on their site. The ongoing relationship with Brandbank helps NISA International capture additional missing items and therefore offers the widest range of stock to its retailers throughout the world.

Result:

NISA International’s website is increasingly used by its importers worldwide. To ensure that product images and data are kept up to date, NISA International has established a direct XML link with Brandbank to upload changes or new information instantly and seamlessly.
